Rebalancing Your Retirement Portfolio

Vice President of Client Services, Sally Brandon, details why portfolio rebalancing is an essential aspect of retirement investing best practices.

Sally Brandon: Rebalancing is fundamental to our business. Obviously it’s in our company name, Rebalance. And what rebalancing means is, that a portfolio is built of various asset classes, and there is an asset allocation associated with every client portfolio. As the market moves up and down, bonds might go up, stocks might go down, and the client portfolio tends to drift from the target allocation. So Rebalancing will is the act of buying and selling to get you back to that target.
